Chinese smartphone brand Vivo went official with his first smartwatch, Vivo Watch, in September 2020. It took companies more than a year to emit the successor in the form of Vivo Watch 2.
The initial rumors around the device began to pour during November and Leakers also saw the device on the Tena listing page. This gives us more details about specifications. However, now a report in Gizmochina has claimed that Vivo has actually exhibited the upcoming smartwatch design.
The initial report showed that Vivo Watch 2 will arrive for 2021 itself, and the company has now announced a tie-up with three three three Chinese to market and sell the upcoming device. This makes us believe that the watch is just around the corner even though it still has to be seen whether Vivo considers India as a market for it.
Vivo Watch 2 – Design and Specifications (expected)
The report said Vivo shared SmartWatch at direct events where three Chinese telecommunications service providers were present. The design language seems to be the same as the original Vivo Watch.
It has a circular watch, round ribbon and guide that allows users to match devices with their clothes. Vivo Watch 2 seems to offer two variants – one with a metallic silver layer and the other becomes a black matte. Both devices have two buttons on both sides.
Smartwatch is expected to get an OLED screen and a high-body-to-body ratio. It can come in one 46mm size option. Smaller 226 mAh batteries present in a 42mm variant of the original Vivo Watch may be the reason for triggering this decision. The device must contain a heartbeat tracker, the built-in GPS, step counter, and 515mAh battery.
Smartwatch is expected to display ESIM triple-SIM for connectivity coupled with the EUICC chip. Support for voice assistants and Bluetooth 5.1 is one of the other features.
Most of the information around the specifications is based on leaks so it might be better now to wait for the day when Vivo Watch 2 becomes official. We will make you posted with more information like and when available.
Even though in the past we heard from various sources that Vivo planned to bring that can be used to India too. However, like a superior cellphone screen dual, Vivo Watch original avoid the Indian market. We can expect some updates at the upcoming launch event on December 22 when the Vivo S12 lineup is scheduled to go official.
