Following the backlash of fans, S. t.l.k.e.r 2 Developers GSC Game World has run back on the plan that must include unworthy tokens in his new game. The announcement came a day after the studio said s.t.a.l.e.r 2 would include nfts.
On Thursday, GSC Game World posted and then removed the explanation for the decision where he said he would use the money he got from tokens to fund the development of sequels. Fans quickly criticized the announcement of early Wednesday and the studio statement was then shared. The response is such that GSC Game World removes its appeal about an hour after posting it.
“We hear you,” his last statement read. “Based on the feedback we received, we have made a decision to cancel something related to NFT in S.T.a.l.K.e.r 2.” Studio added it will make the game on “whatever it costs” for himself.
GSC games about the face of the world are present in the same week Ubisoft pushes forward with a very criticized plan to enter the NFTS in Recon Recon: Breakpoint. While video game fans have almost universally united in their dislike for technology, at this point it looks like we will see more, no less, publishers try to include nfts in their game with people like EA CEO Andrew Wilson says the technology represents ” Our future industry. “
